Symposium

The international symposium, organized as part of the EIDEC project by the project team around the lead researchers (PIs) Silke Schicktanz, Mark Schweda, Andreas Hein, Stefan Teipel, Thomas Kirste and project coordinator Julia Perry in cooperation with the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg, took place from 6 to 8 September 2022 at the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg (HWK) in Delmenhorst. The symposium focused on the future of intelligent assistance systems in dementia care and invited top-class international scientists to shed light on innovative, challenging research questions on assistive technologies in dementia care that need to be addressed in the future. Over the course of three days, current research projects were discussed in an interdisciplinary context and ideas were exchanged on how project results can also be transferred to stakeholders outside of academia. The conference also gave researchers an insight into the results of our EIDEC research project.

We recorded the contributions and discussions audio-visually to make them available to you here in the form of three videos.

*We would especially like to thank Alicia Teschner for creating the videos.
*Due to technical difficulties, the contributions of Prof. Gerhard Fischer and Prof. Oliver Burmeister could not be included in the videos. However, the PowerPoint presentations of the researchers are available.
