„Demenz-Assistenz“ podcast series
The four-part podcast series „Demenz-Assistenz“ is a podcast about artificial intelligence and robotics in the care of people with dementia. The recording and production is an idea of the EIDEC research project, which dealt with new assistance systems in dementia care from a technical and ethical perspective.
In the podcast, we have invited experts from science and practice to discuss current ethical, social and practical issues in the development of assistive technologies.
The series was produced by the Culture and Ethics working group at the University Medical Center Göttingen in collaboration with the Division of Assistance Systems and Medical Device Technology and the Department of Ethics in Medicine at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases and the Institute for Visual and Analytic Computing at the University of Rostock.
The podcast was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
EIDEC – A research project introduces itself
In this introductory episode, we talk to the project leaders of the EIDEC project about the focus of the research, the individual sub-projects, results and experiences in interdisciplinary collaboration. We explain what lies behind the project’s initially unwieldy-sounding title and the concept of assistance systems and get to know the research leaders and their various scientific orientations.
